My name is Anston Emmanuel and this is my blog all about the music artist M.I.A. I decided to choose her because she is not commonly known by everyone and she has interesting music in my opinion which I like. She loves performing and is a great vocalist.

M.I.A. (artist)

Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam also known as M.I.A. is a Sri Lankan Tamil born recording artist and song writer. She grew up in London, England and has had several hit singles including many on the Billboard top 100. Her most famous single "Paper Planes" has went platinum in America and Canada and is the 7th best selling single from a British artist in the 21st century.

Interesting fact - it was taken right after she gave birth to her first child. She is currently 36 years old as well.
